How to overcome laziness in 4 Easy Steps

In this blog I want to talk about one of success biggest enemy this enemy is a close ally of procrastination as a matter of fact they are inseparable.

So who’s that Infamous enemy? Well you know the enemy that is always trying to block your progress and your desire to succeed, the one that we are talking about is LAZINESS.
Yes laziness this old enemy as prevent more progress than any other, all who have achieved greatness through out history had to conquer this great and powerful enemy and so should you if you wish to enjoy  your life to the fullest.

In this blog I am going to share with you four simple but powerful steps that will help you overcome laziness, but first you have to understand that our will power is the greatest tool that we have and our will power is being tested every day and push beyond its limits or in other words   that’s how we feel so in order to win in this daily battle we need to learn how to strengthen our defenses.

The key to overcoming laziness is motivation we have to leverage our strengths and gain more knowledge of our enemies.

The truth is we as humans are always moving toward something or we are moving away from something, we are either pushing towards pleasure or pulling way from pain.

These two great forces are always at work in every one once you’re a human being and to know how they function will help us to understand how to leverage these forces to our advantage.

So here are the four principles that you will need to implement in your daily life and once you stay committed you will start attracting success in every area of your life.
  1.  What am I avoiding? (So First thing you will need to do is ask you self what am I trying to avoid, what do I not want) you have to be clear and honest with your self about this question so write it down if you have to and list what are the results and consequences of not taking action you need to know what is so painful that its preventing you from moving forward.
  2.  What Do I want? (Ask your self what it is that I am aim for, what can I potentially achieve if I were to take action what would be the reward of my big bold move forward) this will give you clarity and reveal to you your (WHY) why you need to take action and accomplish your goals I recommend that you write this down in detail so you can have clear picture on the end result .
  3.  What’s my next step? (Ask your self what is the next step that I can take right now not how you can climb mount Kilimanjaro, all you need to know is what simple action you can take right now that will set you plans in motion) this could simply be putting on your socks, writing down your task, setting your alarm to wake you up and half an hour earlier than normal or asking a trust worthy friend to be your accountability partner  so you can stay on track or what ever you know will work to put your plans in motion.
  4. Do it again! (Repeat the whole action 123 again and again until you form an habit out of them that cancel out your lazy pattern of doing things, you have to remember just like how an house is built by laying one brick at a time so too your small incremental steps will put you closer and closer to your Goals and your consistency will build momentum that will find it self manifesting in every area of your life so with those small steps daily you will achieve your goals.

Here is a bonus nugget that I feel like I should add that know will help to Give you more leverage in your pursuit of success,There are two kinds of people in this world there are the moving towards people and then there are the moving away from these two are pleasure seeker but the difference is.

  • The moving away from person will do everything they can to avoid pain or what ever they deem to be painful even if its sacrificing there ultimate dream of success.

  •  The moving towards person is  always pushing they want pleasure but if the only way they are going to get it is to endure temporary  pain then they are going to go through the fire.

Now the key thing is any one can use either of these two forces to there advantage they just have to realise moving towards something is much more powerful than moving away from something the best thing to do is to Have a Goal so attractive and so compelling that it literally pulls you toward it and once you have that there is nothing that can stand in your way.

Over view:

  1.  Figure out what it is that you are trying to avoid or what it is that you fear.
  2. Be very clear about what it is that you want and what you will gain by taking action.
  3.  Make simple action plans and execute them step by step bit by bit, No step forward is ever too small.
  4.  Do it again. Keep moving forward towards your Goals and repeat 123 until they become second nature.
